MCMC Newsletter Vol. 5: The Election is Almost Here — Stay Safe and Vote

Margaret,   The 2020 election is just around the corner; do you have a plan to vote? This month, we wanted to make sure our My Care, My Choice supporters have all the necessary information on how to make a safe voting plan during COVID-19.   We've said this before, but health care is a top issue for voters this year, and no matter what state you live in, it's important to make your voice heard and exercise your right to vote.   But this election is unlike any we've ever experienced before thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Today, there are multiple options for voting safely, so you can securely cast your ballot.   Whether you choose to vote in person or with a mail-in ballot, it's important to stay vigilant about preventing the spread of the virus.   Here are some tips on how to stay safe on Election Day:   Wear a mask if you choose to vote in person; Drop your mail-in ballot at the nearest USPS mailbox or ballot drop box; Plan a backup time to vote in case you are not comfortable with the wait time at your polling location; and Avoid touching your face and sanitize your hands after casting your vote.   For more information on how to vote safely, visit this page by the University of Chicago Medical Center.   With that, let's jump into our special election-themed newsletter this month, complete with voting graphics to share with your friends and family and social media content to send to your networks.
